Meet the Armagh Team
John Carson
Managing Partner
John has more than 25 years of experience in tax, accounting & finance, and underwriting. He has held management roles at several large firms including SunTrust Bank, GE Capital and KPMG, where he worked in the firm’s Atlanta, London and New York City offices. He also serves as a State Representative in the Georgia General Assembly, first elected in 2011.
John has over 9 years of experience in transferable tax credits, primarily from Georgia film and historic tax credits, as well as tax credits from multiple other states. In his career, he has led or partnered with others to deliver over 1.8 billion of tax credits, without a single recapture.
John holds a BBA in accounting from Georgia State University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University. He is an active CPA licensed in Georgia and a member of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Georgia Society of CPAs, AICPA, and the MUST Ministries Board of Directors.
Richard Jones
Managing Director of Institutional Sales
Prior to joining Armagh Capital, Richard enjoyed four years of semi-retirement after a career with Mauldin & Jenkins, a top 100 Certified Public Accounting Firm. During his thirty-seven years with Mauldin & Jenkins he was a banking partner providing assurance and consulting services to the financial institution industry; responsible for the Firm's SEC practice for the majority of his career; was the liaison with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board; served on the Firm's Executive Committee for eleven years; all while maintaining a full client list primarily of financial institution clients.
During retirement Richard continued to provide consulting services to a variety of industries and never intended to fully retire.
He and his wife Shirley have been married for 30 years and have a daughter and a granddaughter. He enjoys anything outdoors, including hunting with his granddaughter.
Nate Bell
Managing Director of Acquisitions
Prior to joining Armagh Capital, Nate consulted on agricultural, commercial and industrial solar projects while also providing strategy and campaign services for clients in multiple states.
Nate served in the Arkansas House from 2011–2017 where he chaired the State Agencies and Government Affairs Committee, served as House Chair of the Legislative Audit Subcommittee on State Agencies and as House co-chair of the Joint Committee on Constitutional Amendments. After 3 terms in office, he chose not to seek re-election but remains politically active and stirs up “good trouble.”
In his “spare time” Nate consults on off grid renewable power projects and writes political punditry for the Arkansas Times.
He and his wife of 34 years live sustainably and off-grid on 225 wilderness acres in a unique home they built themselves using rock and timber from their property. They have 2 grown daughters and one grandson.
Peter Rourk
Managing Director of Institutional Sales
Peter has extensive experience in tax credit investments and federal tax equity, with a career spanning leadership roles in financial services, tax credit syndication, and institutional sales. As Managing Director of Institutional Sales at Armagh Capital, he focuses on expanding the firm’s national presence with banks, insurance companies, and large public corporations.
Before joining Armagh Capital, Peter served as Managing Director of Tax Credit Investments and was part of the executive leadership team at a leading national tax credit syndicator. During his tenure, he was responsible for placing more than $500 million in federal and state tax credits. Earlier in his career, he spent two decades in financial services and corporate sales, including serving as Vice President of Business Development for American Express in New York, where he worked with multiple Fortune 1000 companies.
A native of North Carolina, Peter lives in Chapel Hill and holds a B.A. from the College of Charleston. He is active in his community and currently serves a six-year term on the foundation board for Christchurch Episcopal School. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and fishing and diving in the Florida Keys.
Tracy Kimble
Executive Assistant/Closing Coordinator
Tracy Kimble is the Executive Assistant and Closing Coordinator at Armagh Capital, where she supports buyers and sellers through the full lifecycle of a transferable tax credit transaction. She coordinates process, timelines, and documentation across all parties, keeping deals organized and moving forward with clear follow-up, precise document handling, and strong attention to detail.
With more than 20 years of experience in office management, sales support, and executive assistance, Tracy brings a steady, service-minded approach to complex, deadline-driven work. Her background includes financial administration, bookkeeping, document preparation, and cross-functional coordination, along with hands-on experience managing high-volume workflows and maintaining clean, reliable records.
Tracy lives in Kennesaw, Georgia and serves as Treasurer for the Harrison High School Band Booster, supporting budgets, reporting, and monthly reconciliation. Outside of work, she is usually outdoors, following her teens to sports and marching band events, and volunteering at school and church.
